Application

Qualifications:

  • ​Applicant must be a female
  • Applicant may NOT be an immediate relative of a Junior League member (i.e., sibling, daughter)
  • Current high school senior seeking higher education at a 4-year, 2-year or vocational institution
  • A High School student in Sullivan County, TN; Bristol, TN; Bristol, VA; or Washington County, VA
  • Resident of Sullivan County, TN; Bristol, TN; Bristol, VA; or Washington County, VA
  • Be a legal citizen of the United States of America (at the time they apply for a scholarship)
  • Applicants must demonstrate financial need (as written in essay)
  • Applicants must be in good standing with their current institution (including conduct and attendance)
  • Applicants must have taken the ACT or SAT and submit scores with their application
  • Applicants must complete the essay as attached to the scholarship application
  • Applicants must have sufficient proficiency in the written and spoken language
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to voluntarism in the local community and exhibit outstanding integrity, character and leadership
  • Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Applicants must agree to maintain regular communication with the Junior League of Bristol Scholarship Foundation and provide one update per semester about first-year experience in review of her college experience and academic successes.If selected as a recipient, attend an award presentation at the Spring Awards Ceremony

In 2016-2017, the Junior League of Bristol is initiating a new scholarship program to support female high school graduates in Sullivan County  TN, Bristol, TN, Bristol, VA, and Washington County, VA.
